Sometimes great things happen when you least expect them. Last year, we went to a major hospitality trade event in Las Vegas called HD Expo and were drawn to a mass of colorful storyboards in the lobby. Stacy Garcia, a well-known hospitality designer, was there talking about where she thought design was headed for 2017 and beyond.
We were captivated by her playful geometrics, subtle metallics, and art inspired design, all accented by her “color crush” – in this case, a neutral pallet with inviting blues and purples. It was inspiring to see how she paired design with nature and technology trends. We loved it, and were pleasantly surprised to find out that Stacy was based near New York City, just a short trip from our studio and warehouse.
By chance, about an hour later we bumped into Stacy at a Moscow Mule reception (we can’t help but be drawn to a good copper mug!) She was immediately receptive to conversations about how our throws would be a perfect canvas for her designs, which can be found in hotel decor like flooring, wallpaper and upholstery fabric. Our meeting led to a year of spirited color and pattern discussions from which we developed a new collection of eco designer throws for both the hospitality community and boutique retailers.

Stacy’s signature graphics and new textures will be found in a large 60”x60” square size. Each throw is domestically knit with a soft sweater-like feel, using recycled cotton and polyester eco yarns.
