How can you style a couch with our design-driven throws, like the Wool Rock Rose Throw by Susy Pilgrim Waters (above)? It’s up to you, but we have some tips from our co-founder Lori Slater to inspire. "I think about sofas and our living spaces all day every day. Inspired by our favorite day of the week, Saturday Green is a collection of sustainable, modern textiles designed by women and made in the USA. In the beginning, Lori and Stef were obsessed with making products from recycled cotton yarns, something no one else was doing. These were yarns that were made using the fall out from the t-shirt manufacturing process (1/3 of a t-shirt is left over during the manufacturing process and that scrap is refiberized into colored cotton). At first, they made apparel --...
Traveling energizes us and ignites our creativity, from the designs of our throws to the tone of our photo shoots. Some of our favorite throws are inspired by European motifs and Scandinavian style. Our newest in2green team member, Kelly, traveled to Sweden this summer to soak up the sun with her sisters. Read on to learn about the Nordic country that has stolen our hearts. Sweden possesses the highest percentage of renewable energy in the European Union and its capital city is keen on sustainable living. As an antidote to their long winters, Stockholm has found ways to incorporate nature through art within the underground subway system through stunning murals like this: Experiencing only a few hours of sunlight during long...
