In2Green Textiles Spins a New Thread

Stefanie, Jehann, and Lori Lori Slater and Stefanie Zeldin, two lifelong friends, founded In2Green more than 16 years ago with the idea that sustainability could be modern and design-forward. This was a labor of love to ensure that they were building a company that was enduring and one that would thrive. The Women Behind Our Saturday Green Collection

Inspired by our favorite day of the week, Saturday Green is a collection of sustainable, modern textiles designed by women and made in the USA.  The designers have envisioned their work on our eco throws, like blank canvases made of recycled cotton-blend yarns.  Instead of paint brushes, the medium is pre-consumer cotton clippings spun into beautiful cotton-blend yarns. Our process helps reduce landfill use and requires no additional cotton dyes or chemicals. Get to know each of our Saturday Green designers: KELLY HARRIS SMITH Kelly Harris Smith is an award-winning designer who specializes in sustainable textile design for commercial and residential projects. At first, they made apparel --...

Our newest in2green team member, Kelly, traveled to Sweden this summer to soak up the sun with her sisters. Read on to learn about the Nordic country that has stolen our hearts.  Sweden possesses the highest percentage of renewable energy in the European Union and its capital city is keen on sustainable living. As an antidote to their long winters, Stockholm has found ways to incorporate nature through art within the underground subway system through stunning murals like this:  Experiencing only a few hours of sunlight during long...
