Going for Greenery

A tumultuous 2016 has come to a close and a New Year, verdant with new beginnings and hope for the future, has unfurled its leaves. Even amidst January’s snow-speckled trees, traces of green are visible. For us, Greenery is top of mind everyday and we will be adding several new “in 2 green” designs and eco design initiatives in 2017. For the coming Spring/Summer season, our new recycled polyester yarn in the color “Fern” will be featured in many of our outdoor throw designs (as well as in our new collaboration with Stacy Garcia).

PANTONE, one of the world’s largest color forecasters, has also named “Greenery” PANTONE’s Color of the Year, highlighting the greenery around us– its natural beauty and its importance to having a healthy, happy planet. Greenery is found manifest in many different mediums (both natural and artificial) and spaces. In the home, green velvet sofas, accent pillows, and shapely vases bring vibrancy and freshness.

Outside of the home, nature’s true greenery can be enhanced by outdoor furniture and decoration. Charles Pavarini III‘s whimsical outdoor furniture line, The Original Lawn Furniture (OLF), complements the inherent beauty of the great outdoors while offering comfortable furniture that can withstand the elements. Pavarini delights that “Fantasy now serves Function,” presenting ergonomic outdoor sofas, adirondack chairs, and ottomans perfect for pool areas, golf courses, hotel lounges, and even indoor/outdoor dining areas. His collection is fabricated in the USA with recycled polycarbonate plastic, and upholstered in an anti-microbial resilient polypropylene woven grass (which is UV Stabilized and guaranteed against fading).

On January 12th, in2green will kick-off a collaboration with OLF, launching the collection for retail e-commerce here. In2green will also wholesale OLF’s outdoor furniture for resort and hotels use. Our shared dedication to producing quality products made in the USA, utilizing recycled materials in original and innovative ways, and creating works of art in their own right allows us to join together to promote “greenery” and its enduring presence in design.
