This year, more than 1 billion people of 192 countries will take action for Earth Day, rendering it the “largest environmental civic action in the world” (www.earthday.org). The theme for this year—“It’s Our Turn to Lead™” focuses on giving voice to millions of people in order to urge world leaders to take action on the environment, climate change, and the poverty related to climate change.

Cross your t’s and dot your ‘i’s for what has become the new “it” design in contemporary design and fashion—the cross. While some might say that it has already been trending for a few seasons, it doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon (nor do we want it too!).

 In 9th grade, I wore a pair of camel suede cowboy boots to school every day, and apparently I was “trending”…

While we will always have a sense of nostalgic appreciation for those classic Hawaiian summer shirts, we were looking for a point of tropical reference that could be a bit more modern and could also perhaps have a life outside of the beach cabana.

Think Audrey meets the stable, and that’s what “equestrian chic” has come to signify: the convergence of rustic naturalism and timeless beauty, of unsullied pastures and Ralph Lauren riding jackets, of crisp autumn air and gleaming leather knee-highs…you get the picture.
